Patient Guide

We welcome visitors during designated hours, encouraging them to spend quality time with patients while helping create a calm and supportive environment for everyone. Our focus remains on promoting holistic well-being by ensuring patients receive sufficient rest, are protected from external infections, and recover in a clean and sterile setting. To maintain comfort, safety, and a healing atmosphere without compromising patient health, carefully designed visitor guidelines are in place to ensure the wellbeing of patients, families, and visitors alike.

BEFORE ADMISSION

  • Please decide on your preferred room category and inform the Admission and Billing Department in advance.

  • If surgery has been advised, kindly confirm the surgery date with the treating consultant, as prior booking of the operation theatre is required.

  • A surgeon or consultant may cancel or postpone a surgery due to medical reasons and will authorize any applicable refund. In such cases, please contact the admission counter.

  • On the day of admission, please visit the admission department to reconfirm your bed allocation.

  • Bed or room reservation does not guarantee availability of the preferred category. All efforts will be made to accommodate your choice, subject to availability, patient discharge, and the medical condition of the previous occupant.

Admission Process

 

  • The front office team at the reception will assist you throughout the admission procedure.

  • A Unique Identification Number (UID) will be generated for the patient, and all medical records will be securely maintained for future reference.

  • An estimated cost of treatment will be provided, and guidance will be given in selecting the appropriate room category.

  • For planned admissions, a doctor’s note or prescription is required.

  • An advance payment must be made at the time of admission, which will be adjusted against the final bill at discharge.

  • Patients opting for cashless treatment are requested to visit the insurance or TPA desk for hospitalization formalities.

  • The staff will escort the patient to the allotted bed or room and ensure comfort during the process.

  • Every effort is made to allot a suitable bed or room at the earliest; however, occasional delays may occur, and we regret any inconvenience caused.

  • If the preferred billing category (higher or lower) is not allotted at the time of admission, please submit a written request to the billing department.

  • Special facilities are available for ICU, single rooms, sharing rooms, cubicles, special class, and credit patients; kindly contact the front office upon arrival.

The list of documents that must be carried for admission

  • Request for Admission Form duly filled in and signed by the Pace doctor
  •  Patient’s ID proof and an address proof is mandatory (Voter’s Card/Ration Card/Driving Licence/Passport/Adhaar Card)
  •  Record of treatment prior to this hospitalization
  •  Doctor’s prescription/discharge summary of previous admission, if any
  •  Investigation reports related to relevant treatment
  •  Treatment record related to current hospitalization
  •  OPD prescription
  •  Investigation reports related to relevant treatment
  • For claims above INR 1 Lakh, ID proof and address proof of the policy holder or the main member in the policy, along with a copy of PAN Card/ Adhaar Card and 1 passport size photograph of the patient
  • For Corporate patients, Employee Card and an ID proof
  •  Pre-authorization form, along with the above mentioned papers should be submitted at the Admission/ Insurance Desk within 24 hours of admission.
  •  The medicines you are currently consuming and all concerned Medical Reports and X-rays.
  •  A list of any known allergies and sensitivities.
  •  Personal toiletries, slippers / footwear.
  •  Keep some cash for miscellaneous purposes in case of emergency. Please safeguard your valuables & mobile. The hospital will not be liable for any loss of money or valuables.

After Admission

  • The bed charges are calculated from 9:00 am to 9:00 am irrespective of the time of admission.
  • After admission the patient can be transferred on written request to higher/lower class subject to the availability of beds. All charges shall be billed for higher class retrospectively.
  • Every day, a statement for the amount accrued to your account shall be provided. It will be appreciated, if the same is settled within 24 hours. Please note that Admission/Security Deposit is not adjusted against these charges. All deposit receipts are made in the name of the patient. During your stay if you have not received any intimation of amount accrued to your account, kindly contact the Billing department.
  • Our pharmacy provides all the medicines for inpatients. We do not permit medicines & consumables from outside. Charity provision is made available for economically weak patients.
  • Please provide accurate and full information about your medical problems, past medical history / medication taken. Inform the doctor or nurse of any sudden changes in your condition. Follow the treatment plan recommended by the medical practitioner.
  • If your patient has to undergo surgery, kindly get a Billing Clearance Slip from the Billing department after clearing the outstanding and paying surgery deposit.
  • We request one relative to be present in the room or ward during a surgery if any.
  • If patient is required to be transferred to the MICU/SICU, the room/bed that patient was occupying prior to the transfer is to be vacated by the attendants.
  • During the stay of the patient, if an additional deposit requested has not been cleared, the hospital reserves the right to transfer/discharge the patient on Administrative ground.
  • Please wear hospital clothes throughout your stay in the hospital.
  • Help in keeping the number of visitors and the noise levels low. We issue only one pass for an attendant in shared / common wards and two passes for Special, Deluxe & Suite classes.
  • Home food may be permitted on “medical grounds”. Attendant’s meals can be provided in the hospital at extra cost.
  • We don’t allow outside pillows, blankets, etc. as they may be a source of infection
  • Patients can be transferred to any other hospital / government hospital / nursing home in case of non-payment or any other administrative reason, or only if nursing care is required.
  • Discharge of patient would be authorized as per doctor’s advice.
  • Please respect hospital and personal property.
  • Sparing use of Mobile phones will be appreciated.
  • Consumption of alcohol, smoking and chewing of tobacco is prohibited.

Visiting Hours

  • Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the morning and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the evening, applicable every day.

  • One additional visitor pass per patient may be issued by security using the prescribed form available with the nursing staff in each ward.

  • The request for an additional visitor pass must be recommended by the treating consultant.

  • Renewal of the additional visitor pass requires a fresh recommendation from the treating consultant on the prescribed form.

  • Please bring the original visitor pass issued at the time of admission when applying for renewal of an additional pass.

  • Visitor passes are non-transferable. If a pass is found being used by someone other than the authorized person, it will be confiscated and a penalty may be imposed.

  • Children below 15 years of age are not permitted in patient care areas or at the bedside.

 

Discharge Process

After your medical treatment or surgical procedure, you will remain under observation and recovery for a period as recommended by your doctor. Once your progress is assessed and your condition is stable, the doctor will approve your discharge. The discharge procedure will then be completed through the following steps.
  • As per the doctor’s instructions, the Duty Medical Officer will prepare the discharge summary, which will be reviewed and signed by the treating doctor.

  • After reconciling medications, the nursing staff will return any unused medicines to the pharmacy.

  • All relevant documents, including laboratory reports, radiology reports, and ECG records, will be collected by the floor executive, and the final bill will be prepared.

  • For patients covered under insurance, the final bill along with a copy of the discharge summary will be forwarded to the insurance provider. If the approved insurance amount matches the bill total, the account will be settled; otherwise, the balance amount must be paid to complete the discharge process.

  • Your attendant will receive the bill payment receipt along with two copies of the gate pass.

  • One copy of the gate pass must be submitted at the nurse station, where you will be provided with your discharge summary and important instructions regarding medications and post-discharge care.

  • The second copy of the gate pass should be handed over to the security staff at the exit gate.

  • The follow-up appointment date will be mentioned in the discharge summary. The first follow-up consultation is complimentary, and patients are encouraged to attend regular follow-up visits as advised to support proper recovery.
